As part of the DS Energy’s commitment to quality we have developed a Clean & Check Program to ensure your system is performing at peak levels year-round. We are aware that there are many ‘orphaned’ solar systems around Australia, either the company you acquired the system from is no longer around or you have bought a property with solar already installed but do not have the details of the solar system. You may simply want to get your solar panels cleaned and serviced. This program is available to anyone who has a solar system.
The Clean & Check Program starts from $165inc GST (6-8 panels) there are additional costs for systems with more panels and we can also provide gutter cleaning and Bird/Pest proofing (around solar panels) service as well. We are equipped with the Isolar 800 Kit.
The DS Energy Clean & Check Program will:
Check system for defects, including isolators, panels, inverters and batteries.
Clean all panels.
Clear leaves from under panels.
Provide a system audit of updates/improvements for you to consider.
Smart Meter Monitoring
The smart meter measures the total of household energy use and then send these numbers back to the energy provider.
If you have solar installed, it will measure the amount of energy that is being sent to the grid and will use this energy to power your home. All excess energy is then conveniently sold back to the grid.
When it is understood how to read a smart meter with solar power, smart meters work well for helping consumers save money on their power bill. Though this is only when changes are made to the way they use their energy.
To save on your electricity bill with the aim of eventually selling your excess energy back into the grid, you should use the readings on your smart metre to help you know if you need to reduce your electricity usage.
