THE CHALLENGES
With an estimated annual energy consumption of 1,694 MWh, Youi Insurance Centre faced rising electricity costs and a considerable carbon footprint. Their challenge was to implement a solar solution capable of meeting significant energy demands while ensuring meaningful environmental impact. Additionally, the system needed to seamlessly integrate into their facilities without disrupting daily operations.
THE SOLUTION
DS Energy designed and installed a 519.58 kW solar system, utilising both rooftop and carpark spaces to maximise energy production and efficiency:
• 840 Astronergy CHSM72N(DG)/F-BH-575W panels were installed on the carpark, providing dual benefits such as shading for vehicles and energy generation.
• 77 Astronergy CHSM60N(DG)F-HC-475W panels were installed on the building’s rooftop, optimising available space.
This innovative system is projected to generate 829.0 MWh of clean energy annually, significantly offsetting Youi’s reliance on grid power.

The installation is expected to deliver transformative benefits for Youi Insurance Centre, including:
• Carbon Emissions Reduction: A projected annual reduction of 476.4 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to planting approximately 7,000 trees every year.
• Annual Savings: Estimated energy cost savings of $165,286, providing substantial financial relief and long-term value.
